Hector Zagal is a Mexican philosopher, writer, and professor at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He has published numerous books on philosophy, cultural critique, and literature, including his most popular works "Los filósofos y el amor", "La risa y la melancolía", and "Vida cotidiana y santidad". Zagal is also a frequent contributor to cultural and literary magazines, such as Letras Libres and Nexos. He has been awarded several literary prizes for his work, including the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize for Literature. Zagal is known for his accessible writing style and his ability to link philosophy with everyday life.
